I smile at him and help him outside, making sure Gale was following close behind. I give Shawn a glance to make sure he knows he has to take care of all the other kids.
I pick up Carrie and Emma picks up Cody. I get the door for Jen and put all the kids in the car.

I sat down in the car, and helped Emma buckle Cody into his car seat. Honestly I felt fine.
I climbed into the car, sitting in between Emma and Cody's car seat.
